• tsx-467(Am)-- Change in codon 258 from Trp to the stop codon UAG
• araA230-- changes codon 92 of 501 in araA from Gly to Asp
• rpsL227(strR)-- Change in codon 43 from Lys to Thr
• Am = amber(UAG) mutation
• LamS = Lambda sensitive
• strR = streptomycin resist.
