• atoS298::Tn10-- : insertion shown by PCR (Nichols et al. 1998) to be within the atoS gene, at nucleotide 2,318,294 (49.972 min.). Originated in Schnaitman strain CS1230.
• rph-1-- is a 1 bp deletion that results in frameshift over last 15 codons and has polar effect on pyrE leading to suboptimal pyrimidine levels on minimal medium.(Jensen 1993 JBact.175:3401)
• atoS298::Tn10 was formerly called zeg-298::Tn10
• atoS298::Tn10 was formerly called zeh-298::Tn10
